Pre-Opening Insider Tours
Come to the Castle for a sneak preview! Guests will be led through the philosophic murals, castle and grounds to see our favorite features and behind the scenes areas of Uhuburg, many of which will be closed to the public after officially opening. Areas on tour will vary from day to day depending on current work and weather.
We are still under construction, and Insider Tours are fundraisers to support the completion of Uhuburg.
Please read the info on this page to know what to expect and make sure Insider Tours are right for you. If walking on some dirt and seeing tools are not what you have in mind, consider visiting us this summer after we open.

We love seeing your pictures on social!

Tour participants will gather at the lower gates off of Ridge Road. Right at the tour start time, everyone will drive up the hill to the castle at the same time. If you arrive before we are there, please wait for us by the gates.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are available after 11:00 (there are simply no facilities at the initial meeting place, please arrive prepared). Facilities will be available at the start of the tour by the red doors, later in the Great Hall, and at the end again by the red doors.
Please Note: We are a construction site
Pardon our dust. We've cleaned up some areas and are also still under construction.
Tools, building materials and heavy machinery are out. Things such as décor are not finished, and statues are not yet set into place.
Please do not touch or climb on any tools, heavy machinery, building materials, statues, walls, etc.
We are currently best suited for older audiences but children are welcome and must stay with a parent/guardian at all times.
Tours are Fundraisers
We are still under construction, and Insider Tours are fundraisers to support the completion of Uhuburg. Right now we are cash only but we are working on online payment options.
Additional contributions and donations are appreciated!
Accessibility
Generally, the tours are walking tours with single to multiple steps and limited seating along the way. That said, routes can be modified and much of the grounds are accessible by wheelchair. Please send requests for such accommodation ahead of time if able.
Tours are not mic'd (no microphone). Please say something if you can not hear us on tour.
Weather
In most cases, tours are not weather dependent as most of the tour is in covered areas and indoors. If there is a cancellation or change of schedule, we will post it here and respond to you in the method you rsvp'd.
If you need to cancel, that is okay. Write us a note if you can and we hope to see you another time.
Finding Us: Our Entrance
We are located at 571 Ridge Road in Helen, Georgia, USA. Sometimes Google Maps directs drivers to the property (also called Castle Con on Maps) instead of the driveway. The driveway is on the south side of Ridge Road and is marked with a 571 mailbox and the entrance is a dirt road through green metal gates under the watchful eye of an owl statue mounted on a cairn.
