A Renaissance castle like no other, Uhuburg is a philosophical, food producing, naturalistic, and celebratory place located outside the Alpine, Bavarian City of Helen, Georgia.
Uhuburg is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With castle walls to wander, towers to climb and philosophical murals to contemplate, the castle awaits you. Spend the day exploring the grounds or stay in a castle chamber for an unforgettable and enchanting experience!

āUhuburg is hosting Mirth & Mischief!
Day Visits are currently on hold and will resume in June and July. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday Day Visits from June 28 through August 30 are now available on our ticket calendar. Availability is added on a rolling bases, and if earlier dates become available, they will be added to the availability calendar.
Overnight chamber bookings are available from July 3 through October 4th. Availability is added on a rolling basis.
Throughout the month of May, Uhuburg will be hosting Mirth & Mischief, an immersive fantasy experience with components of live theater, aerial acrobatics, quests, artisan vendors, laser light show and more. It is a one of a kind show!
Friday and Saturday evening shows are 18+.

Father ~ Daughter Duo
Bob Marthai The dreamer, architect, builder and founder of Uhuburg who brought his vision of an educational castle in the mountains of North Georgia to fruition. Bob often says, "Why have a castle if you can't share it?" Uhuburg was built to share and to share in the pursuit of a four-part mission. The mission of Uhuburg is based on what Bob has found to be important for the good life: philosophy, nourishment, nature and celebration. Bob is an ex-psychologist, retired tall ship captain, naval architect, and lover of dance. Join his Day Visit guided tour for the full story! Bob often joins to dining room to chat over breakfast with overnight guests as well.

Our amazing staff makes it all possible.
Naomi Marthai General Manager, and Admin Assistant to Bob, Naomi manages the day to day castle affairs of Day Visits, gardening, web presence, bookings and overnight stay. Occasionally you'll find her cooking breakfast for guests or painting a mural too! Naomi was previously an 8th grade science teacher for 11 years. She loves to dance, especially with Bob & Janine, whom she calls Dad & Mom when off the clock.
