A Renaissance castle like no other, Uhuburg is a philosophical, food producing, naturalistic, and celebratory place located outside the Alpine, Bavarian City of Helen, Georgia.
Uhuburg is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With castle walls to wander, towers to climb and philosophical murals to contemplate, the castle awaits you. Spend the day exploring the grounds or stay in a castle chamber for an unforgettable and enchanting experience!

Summer Schedule
Day Visit tickets are currently available on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of October and Saturdays through the end of November (some Sundays may be added at a later date). Please see our ticket calendar for specifics. Dates are added on a rolling basis.

Gardens & Grounds
Every season brings new sets of vibrant hues in gardens watched over by classical statues.
Tropical Atrium
Join a short tour to the four story interior garden in the main building. Always a favorite!
Guided Tours
Two guided tours are offered during Day Visits. Learn about highlights and hear some stories!
Mural Walk
See how humankind has sought to understand the meaning of life over the ages. More Info
Gazebo & Zen Garden
Relax in the gazebo (or do a photoshoot with friends!) and contemplate at the Zen garden.

Uhuburg Castle became a nonprofit educational institute in 2024. As a community-centered institute, Uhuburg is dedicated to service through education—offering unique opportunities to engage with philosophy, sustainable food production, the natural world and celebration. The castle serves as a space for meaningful community connection with offerings such as public tours, lively contra dances, celebrating life’s milestones such as anniversaries and weddings, and more. Every experience at Uhuburg is designed to inspire learning, foster connection, and celebrate the richness of life in a truly unforgettable setting.
