Meet the Team
Bob Marthai The dreamer, architect and builder behing Uhuburg who brought his vision of an educational castle in the mountains of North Georgia to fruition. Bob built Uhuburg to share what he has found to be important for the good life. He often says, "Why have a castle if you can't share it?" Bob is an ex-psychologist, retired tall ship captain, naval architect, and lover of dance. Join his Day Visit guided tour for the full story!
Naomi Marthai Admin Assistant to Bob and wearer of many hats, Naomi manages many of the day to day castle affairs, web/social media, oversees gardening and has a hand in mural artistry as well. Naomi was previously an 8th grade science teacher for 11 years. She loves to dance, especially with Bob & Janine, whom she calls Dad & Mom when off the clock!
