Try your hand at Medieval Swordsmanship with Appalachian Sword Club!

 

Join us for a dynamic and exciting experience in the Medieval art of swordsmanship through the lens of historical manuscripts with Danial and Ash! Hosting a series of mini workshops throughout the day, they will do demonstrations, discuss highlights of using the manuscripts, and provide hands-on experience with swords for interested participants. Danial and Ash work with local fencing clubs and Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).

Demos & hands on opportunities will run continuously through the day.

Swordsmanship workshops and demonstrations are included with your Day Visit ticket on the scheduled weekends listed above.

Contra at the Castle

Contra AND a Castle? That's right! Explore Uhuburg and jump into the joy of contra dance in Uhuburg's Great Hall.

Ticket Info
All dancers are welcome from new to dance to experienced.

Children: All entries must have a ticket from ages 2 and up. This event is not ideal for young children; all children present must be actively supervised at all times.

​

Touring: Exploring Uhuburg during this event is self-guided. Peruse the murals, walk the castle walls, climb the towers! For guided tours, please join us for a Day Visit.

​

Tickets are transferrable and non-refundable. To transfer tickets, please send all pertinent info  through our Contact form BEFORE 7pm on March 7. Include current registration name/email/confirmation number and number of tickets, along with the new name and email.
​

Parking & Shuttle

Parking opens at 6:00pm.

Please do not block the road; enjoy Helen in the case of early arrival.

Shuttle service between parking and castle will run from 6:00-8:00pm, at 9:30, and from 10 to 11pm.

What to Bring

Please bring a water bottle, walking shoes for exploring the grounds prior to the dance, and dance shoes to change into upon entering the Great Hall. You are welcome to bring a picnic on the grounds prior to dance time. Water fountains and public restrooms are available in the Great Hall.​​​​​​

Step Into a World of Enchantment

Oracle Experience Enterprises Presents: Mirth & Mischief at Uhuburg Castle!

Join us starting Friday, May 2, 2025, with adults-only MIRTH & MISCHIEF shows running Fridays and Saturdays and family Fairy Frolic events each Sunday afternoon in the magical embrace of Uhuburg Castle, nestled in the scenic North Georgia Mountains.

There are only two weekends left to see Mirth & Mischief, a must-see immersive fantasy experience that transforms Uhuburg Castle into a living story filled with mystery, music, and magic.

 

Explore the full theatrical journey in a choose-your-own-adventure format across the castle grounds. From cirque-style acrobatics and live music to interactive storytelling and atmospheric effects, every twist and turn of this adults-only evening draws you deeper into the realm. Stay late for the Club Mischief afterparty featuring DJs and fire dancers until midnight! Costumes encouraged, not required.  

 

The Story: An enchanted castle. A tormented prince. A realm where light is fading. Guided by the mystical Moon and Earth Goddesses, guests become part of a magical quest to restore joy and revelry before darkness takes hold. You don’t just watch the story—you live it.​​

Fairy Frolic

Sundays in May, 1:00 to 4:00pm

​At Fairy Frolic enjoy castle tours, themed activities, an artisan mini village, and themed entertainment on Sunday afternoons! Costumes are encouraged and not required.

Creator Day will be rescheduled due to overwhelming interest for a different date. ​

An all day, limited-ticket event for content creators to have extended access to Uhuburg for capturing stunning and imaginative photoshoots. Grab your photoshoot buddy or tripod and make a day of it!​

Calendar

The 2024 schedule is up and running with swordsmanship, Uhuburg's inaugural Ball and Contra Dance, and our brand new photoshoot event called Creator Day (date tbd!). We look forward to hosting events such as seasonal festivals, creator workshops, family days and contra dances. As a place of learning, Uhuburg will offer workshops related to applications of philosophy, independent thinking, nature, geology, and practical gardening.
